My New Girl

Just got back from NARBC Anaheim. Great show. As always, my friend and "spider guy" (Chris/Krazy 8s) was there. I saw this girl and couldn't resist her. She's a Malaysian Orange Huntsman Spider.

As you can see from the first pic, she's a little thin. I dropped a large cricket in with her when I got home and she jumped it with lightening speed. This pic was taken seconds later, from outside the container, (hence the blur). She is now busily wrapping her prey up for later.

Thanks. Chris had greens and one burgundy Huntsman as well but the orange ones just drew me in and I couldn't resist. We had planned on not getting any critters today too. We were just going for feeders and to look around...............sigh.

Is there a 12 step program for people like us?

I'm not highly familiar with huntsman, botar has a red and green ssp that looks just wild but my lack of experiance with them has made me hold off. Perhaps I need to take a harder look.
